Neil Duerden, a world famous Illustrator and digital artist always sends me an email when he updates his site, so I thought I’d pass along the news. There are over 70 new images on his site. In the wake of Shepard Fairey’s debacle with the AP over the rights to the image he used as reference/inspiration for his wildy popular Obama poster, I wanted to share a list of Public Domain Licensed images, in this case, astronomy. Fairey’s situation should hit home with all pixel junkies out there and remind us that we have to pay close attention to the licenses associated with the images we use in our design work. I’ve compiled a list of beautiful, inspiring astronomy images that all have a Public Domain License.

We’ve all probably browsed through lists of great desktop walpapers, but I thought it would be fun to actually see some of your desktops for real. I’ve done workspace round-ups before, and now we get to peer even closer into some of our collegues’ digital environments. Every artist is different, and as you can tell below….so are their desktops.
