I know I’ve been on a texture kick recently, but I’m hoping you all don’t mind. These are the textures I created in order to make my most recent set of Photoshop Brushes. I didn’t see a reason to let then collect dust on my hard drive, so I thought I’d share the source files. They look quite different in full color :) You can click on each image to view at Flickr, or download all in a zip at the bottom.

Free High-Res Photoshop Brushes: Grungy Watercolor

I’ve got another set of killer brushes for everyone. These are, as always, super large brushes. There are 10 in the set, and I also included a zip file with PNGs for non-Photoshop users. I’ll be releasing the actual textures themselves in another post soon. I made these from a combination of watercolor and india ink. Free Hi Resolution Wood Textures

Now that I’m on a new server, and I’m done venting, how about some free stuff. I took the camera for a trip around the neighborhood and captured some wood textures that I hope everyone will enjoy. They’re all 2500px wide, and I tried to get a pretty good variety. Download at the bottom of the page ;)

Free High-Res Photoshop Brushes: Grungy Wings

Believe it or not, but I made these with a sketch pad, a can of spray paint, and a kitchen sponge. It was actually quite fun. I was inspired by a t-shirt I bought recently and decided to churn out a new brush set. The preview doesn’t do them justice because they are so darn wide, but you might notice from the screenshot that there are 5 ‘pairs’ of wings, making the brush total 10. As usual, the brushes are ginormous (2500px). I hope you can put them to good use ;) If you’d like to share your designs, you can always upload them to the BittBox User Showcase Group @ Flickr.

BittBox Brushes Spotted in New Amsterdam Opening Credits on FOX

New Amsterdam is a new show on FOX, and I was watching it the other day and noticed that they used some of my Photoshop brushes during the opening credits. I was doubtful at first, but I did a little investigating, and sure enough, they are my brushes. I thought it was pretty cool to see, of all things, one of my Photoshop brushes on TV. The brushes they used are my High-Res Floral set, I released last summer. More after the jump.
