I think an interesting vector pack would be famous monuments (Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower, Sphynx, etc.) from all over the world, in a style similar to your “buildings” packs.
I think a music instruments pack would be cool, with instruments like guitars, drums, keyboards, trumpets, turntables…
I’m down with anything free, but I would like to see some cartoon-ish style animals… Birds, small woodland creatures… maybe a nest or two…, but thats just me :)
I had one idea, but I like Tyler’s famous monuments idea better, so I’ll vote for that one!
I’d like to see a complete vector town. Something similar to http://moourl.com/ja2ul but with a designious original style.
Desserts! Sweet, sweet non-fattening vector desserts! LOL.
My wish would be for seamless patterns. Especially from pack 10 or 5. having some people (fashion pack) and buildings would be great too.
This is great. Thanks for offering!
i’d love to see a bunch of seamless patterns
I think that a good vector pack would be random scrolling and flourishes. Things that you can take and manipulate creating many other things out of them. Having both the versatility to use “as is”, but also make something completely new…for instance, a scroll, you could use as is, or take the basic design and layout of it and turn it into an ivy type graphic, or use multiple versions of them and create some gnarly wings…
How about something reminiscent of von Dutch perhaps an eyeball with wings or scallops.
I think a range of musical instruments would be useful. Both grungy and clean. Guitars (electric and acoustic) drums, trumpets, saxophones, pianos, keyboards, microphones, etc.
I’m a big fan of heraldry stuff. But seamless patters would be cool, household objects (like a blender, a lightbulb, etc.)…
Really, I’m just happy to get free vector images. It’s so cool you guys do this!
I think it would be huge to have an industrial revolution vector pack. one with turn of the century people and heavy equipment.
This is a dope idea!
My suggestion for a new set would be something food themed. Tacos, pizza, hamburgers, exc.
classic seamless patters would just rock! music instruments and notes would be cool too. this is just awesome no matter what you put out!
my vote is for vector buildings!
I like the Industrial Revolution idea. The animals is also a good idea.
How about a Go Green Vetor Pack: trees, plants, animals, earth, clouds, landscapes, etc….with some Go Green emblems.
I would love some good seamless patterns. Both some ornate damasks and some retro 70s patterns. I’m always looking for something like that….
I think more wings, more shields/crowns/heraldry stuff and of course some hand drawn skulls are still really awesome :-)
Ditto on the cartoons animals stuff, just because they would be great for a current project. But I think any of this stuff for free would be great.
classic seamless patters would be great! I also like the cartoon vector pack idea!
I’d love to see a pack with some fluid shapes or interesting squiggles.
i’d love to see seamless patterns.
or something to do with architecture and blueprints and floorplans.
i liked the household objects idea.
landscapes would be nice as well.
Seamless patterns it is! :D
How about evil old-school robots? You know you want to do those.
Celtic and/or Arabic design motifs would be fun. Flourishes, borders, patterns, etc.
I love the industrial revolution idea.
I also like the monuments idea but would like to see it expanded to more of a famous places/travel theme, monuments, buildings, natural wonders, those travel stickers you see on Bugs Bunny’s luggage, etc.
Thank you for such a cool opportunity.
I’d like to see a vector set of exploded objects, guns, guitars, gameboys. Anything along those lines. Something kind of like this: http://www.g6csy.net/c96/exploded.jpg
Raygun Gothic style urban elements. Buildings. Monorails. Flying cars.
Sharks por favor. so many photos out there would make great vectors.
I would love love love some seamless patterns. especially the retros.
I would love some factory elements – pistons, gears, machinery, pulleys, smokestacks, etc.
I like the cartoon animal ideas. But maybe add some random cartoon characters… human, animal, alien. And I like the robot idea too (evil or good).
Thanks!
I agree with Matty, I could always use more seamless patterns.
I would love seamless patterns.
Retro baby!!!
I like the buildings idea, maybe with some street signs, stop lights or even the views out of a crowded NY city window. Something that shows, power lines, clothlines on rooftops, brooklyn style not skyscraper style. (That probably made no sense.) Can’t wait to see what you do!
Abstract Robots!!!
I’d love to see either swirly scrolls, or some seamless patterns. Thanks for all your hard work!
Filligree and flurishes?
seamless patterns would rock my socks off! but then I’d also love to see some decorative “scrolls” as well
Id like to see a tattoo pack. like the whole ed hardy look.
I agree with Tyler, love to see famous monuments!
I like the Ed Hardy tattoo pack, great idea. And some urban landscapes
anything vintage
I always love getting my hands on new flourishes and heraldry, but what I’m really itching for the past little while is some killer halftone vectors!
I’d like to see a vector pack of ornamental script-like flourishes. You know, the ones you see on very high-end wedding invitations, usually hand written from a professional calligrapher? Swingy, loopy, elegant. Things that could be placed underneath a headline of text to add glamour.
I think a space pack would be sweet. Rocket ships, jet packs, planets, black holes!
i am going with what a few others said: VECTOR INSTRUMENTS!!!! VECTOR INSTRUMENTS!!!VECTOR INSTRUMENTS!!!
I would love some classy horizontal rules. All of my google searching has netted a bunch of lame-o animated gif holdovers from the 90s web. What I’m looking for are some minimal little graphic flourishes that can be used to divide sections of content, maybe blog posts or separating footer and content.
Since I’m supposed to write down what pack i’d love to see, i’d go with what i lack right now for my work.
I really want to have a vector pack of several business attributes like pens, pencils, post-it, cellphone, etc.
Why not call it “The Office Pack” :-)
i like the music instruments idea
Urban decay?
Grungy city-themed shapes. Buildings, old or trashed; phoneboots, trashbins, trafficlights,..
Just tossing things out there. Thanks for this great contest!
Seamless patterns – grunge, wood, glass, skin (human and animal), water, fire, landscape, cityscape, electrical (wiring and also electricity), boy I could go on but that would keep me busy for a long time. Thanks!
I would like to see more vectors of people…mainly silhouettes (adults, children, babys, oldfolks, etc) Different poses of each.
Vector buildings!
I would like to see representations of portfolio icons (illustration, design, web etc.).
I like the nature idea, maybe with some animals on the hunt. How cool would that be? Wolves, lynx(s? i?), weasels. You could use the fur textures for all sorts of things, too.
More doodles would be nice
I would love to have some writing tools like pens, quill and ink, typewriters, old books, and notebooks.
Patterns would be awesome!
I would like some heraldry stuff or some vector texture backgrounds.
I think the music instrument ideas is cool, love to use some vector speakers & subs.
Small seamless patterns would be a great pack! :)
Hmmm.. I haven’t seen any vector packs that are related to parties/events. Perhaps elements that would be used for birthday/baptism/graduation/corporate events for invitations, post cards, posters, etc.
I will like to see seasonal frames. Valentine’s, Christmas, St. Patrick’s, Summer, Fall ect…
famous monuments is a good idea.
old cameras and photography stuff would be nice…
thx.
Olivier
Definitely a set of clean and a set of distressed musical instruments. Guitars (Fender Strat and Tele, Gibson Les Paul and SG and Explorer and ES335, Ibanez, etc), drums, keyboards, bass guitars, turntables, etc.
I agree with Jody – I would love to see some factory / industrial parts and machines.
I would love to see some old fasion bombs, tnt, wicks, explosions, dust clouds, gun powder trails, sparks, smoke, etc.
Havn’t really seen anything along those lines, and I think they could have a lot of great uses! Do we really need to see more scrolls, heraldry, skyscrapers, and skulls.
I would like to see some FIRE! Kinda like this guy: http://flickr.com/photos/34207838@N04/3242760051/
I am in the mood of anything cartoonish and bright these days. So a set of cute cartoonish characters? How about some curvy cartoonish buildings?
HALFTONE PATTERNS!!!
Bad ass insects. Close ups (staghorn beetles, wasp, horse fly etc)
I would enjoy a pack with retro geometric lines, so used these days in design but unavailable when looking for such kind of freebies
I would love to see vector trees/bushes/flowers/grass. Plants in general I guess.
I would love love to see some health vectors – bones, hearts, veins…insides!
Also some elegant florish would be cool….
And some water or abstract waves!
I think something retro would be sick. Something like a record player with the attached megaphone thing or an old radio set. Maybe a mixed tape vector.
Either that or trees. I can never get enough vector trees.
Horses, Ponies, Miniature Ponies, Donkeys, decorative doodads, and all of it in open (non photoshop-only) formats.
Robots please!!!
Muscles, nerves, veins, arteries, bones, eyeballs, brains, etc. – the machinery inside us. That’d be great!
Wonderful giveaway idea! I personally am looking for orchestral musical instruments, seamless victorian patterns, and food vectors.
robots. giant robots.
body parts, anatomy, muscle groups, workout poses, muscles etc… anything with the human anatomy would be great
Just the basic vector stuff, like a cd, a cd-box, book, box, software box, magazine.
All blank so you can start at once..
Retro stuff, like art deco buildings or swirly things.
How about some vintage imagery. Like maybe old ads, mascots, merchandise, people, or something similar.
That would be awesome. Thanks!
80’s stuff!!!
I want a baby elephant.
Monkeys with Guns!!
retro-oldies-meets-present-modern-day patterns. Something fun and creative that can be used as is or can be worked with to create something else
Seamless patterns sounds good. Hopefully with some fine detail.
Hey. The request for instruments was groovy. With or without adornment (swirls, circles, grunge elements).
This site rocks.
Monuments(great idea)
Keys and padlocks – old and new for both
Office equipment – new and retro
I’d like to see more 1950s style advertising and instructional video people. I like the cheesy expressions on people’s faces, featuring nice half tone patterns. 50s sci-fi stuff would be really neat, too.
I vote for the seamless patterns. Good ones are so hard to find!
Scrolls, leaves, borders, flourishes, would be nice, keys or/and locks.
flash(tattoo) art would be very cool-not ed hardy-better to do Sailor Jerry or generic tattoo art.
thanks
I’m thinking modern day electronics and buildings in an art deco style…i think that would be pretty fresh
DECADENTISM, you know Oscar Wilde, pre-raphaelites art, vintage accessories, glasses, big mirrors, dead flowers and all that stuff…
I’m going to go with seamless patterns as well…
I like motifs from the 1940s: women wearing their hair in snoods, men in sharp suits with snappy hats, vehicles with rounded corners (although that’s probably more like the 1930s World Fair, now that I think about it), electric appliances and modern conveniences, posters for war bonds. Stuff like that. Thanks for the great freebies!
I really am a big fan of heraldry.
But now let me go for seamless patterns with nice details!
Thanks for this great present!
I dont understand why most of the people just want to see more and more of what is already out there? Like Skulls, patterns, silhouettes, flourishes, grunge.
Lets see something new and original!!
I have to go with jody, luke, jordan, and j fly they had good ideas.
I have to put in my vote for the musical instruments vector pack. That would be most versatile. Electric & accoustic guitars, keyboards, etc. Ideally have both 3D / foreshortened angles, as well as isometric (straight from above or front).
–
i’d love to see some border frames, or something metal based.
that or some trees vectors.
I’d like some outlines of farm animals. Chickens, cows, horses, etc.
I would like to see animal prints. Seemless or not. Things like zebra, tiger, giraffe fur patterns.
And then elements of the animals. Antlers, horns, claws, paws. And then prints; hoof prints, paw prints, etc.
Thanks!
I’d be interested in some heraldry or seamless patterns. Thanks for the free stuff yet again! :)
I would love some seamless patterns. I’m especially fond of Celtic and Art Deco themes.
Thanks for these contests!
delicious, well-crafted, vintage style borders, frames and patterns would be lovely. anything from a label, bottle, or wallpaper.. back when they were painstakingly hand-done.. my clients don’t understand needing 2 weeks for anything ;)
I’m a really big fan of anything flourish, swirls, damask, etc.
But, I also love the idea of the city-themed landscapes along with specific trademark icons of each city i.e. San Francisco skyline w/Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, Cable Cars, Palace of Fine Arts, sailboats, etc.; Hawaii-Palm Trees, sunsets, coconuts, Diamond Head, Hula girls/guys. ukeleles, etc. You get the drift! This could turn out to be a international collection!! :)
Inseect wings, that would be pretty cool and strange plants
oops i meant insect
anything vintage and something that can be used to do some typographic treatments! (ornaments…etc)
Cool cartoon people and anything vintage would be awesome.
I would love some decorated fonts (wings, ivy, vines) easy to manipulate and larger in size!
How about some “destroyed” charcters, ie: monsters, figures. Something creative, possibly colorful!
Of course, you can’t go wrong w/ Tabitha’s idea on ivy & vines. Mmmmm….
Vines, tress, plants, woodland themed, woodland animals would be nice :)
I think an outer space set would be sweet. Complete with asteroids and comets and stuff.
I would like to see a cityscape or several buildings or something similar. Maybe dirty ones (like spotted with paint or something) and clean.
I think I´d like some seamless patterns, something retro, but i also like the idea of buildings…
old school woodtype poster stuff. but not the kind that adobe already has… i dont know… something more original, grungy, but still woodtype! Thanks!
Abstract stuff, just because I can make it my own more and I use this kind of vectors a lot more, from te vectorspacks at hand I like heraldy, en in general graffiti style vectors
I was going to say Middle Eastern style ornaments, but I think TimBONE summed things up for me: Celtic and/or Arabic design motifs. Excellent idea!
I think a GRUNGE vector pack with seamless background-repeatable vector patterns would be great… everything / anything from elegant wallpaper-like designs, to curls or more detailed vectors of a texture
I love the famous monuments idea!! Big Ben, the Statue of Liberty, the Great Wall of China!
Grungy rock & roll guitars, wings, music notes, amps, microphones – you know!
I’m forever needing to create star bursts – call out boxes, shapes to place copy into. I would love to have a set of images that could be adapted to use to get a point/sale/price/message across!
This is awesome! I like everything free.
Would like to see buildings, some cityskapes, or like somebody said urban decay? Thanks!
I am always looking for decent scrolls, but also I would love to see some hand drawn frames. Sort of Couture like. Also I always love the misc. random graphics. Thanks.
After visiting Frazier History Museum in Louisville and looking at all the different kinds of armor and weapons, I’d like to see more vector-based representations of said objects. Styles would lend themselves to coarse patinas on the objects (axes, spears, pikes, shields, etc.) for that aged and distressed look.
I think the industrial\old middle ages theme is good maybe with a ink bottle-feather style touch….buildings style “cool world” and “dick tracy” could be great…
also Cyber shapes and symbols kind of a “matrix” feel or a sniper-lock view or satellite searching feel…to abstract of an explanation?!?! anyway…love the idea…Thanks!!!
I’d love to see seamless patterns.
Oh man! You should totally do mechanical/electrical equipment. So like spark plugs, outlets etc.
Seamless patterns is good — I’d like to see more stylized patterns myself. Something fun.
mythological creatures from a bunch of different cultures
My votes go to gears/machinery and to ornamental flourishes. Can never get enough of those!
Heraldry!!
Along the lines of Adam Farnsworth, Simon H, Sjang and others, I like the idea of wings, shields/crowns/heraldry. Skull/crossbones and tattoo flash would also be awesome. Thanks for this…it’s very cool and generous.
Thanks for taking suggestions!
I’d love to see some cool SPORTS vectors, not X-games or xtreme sports stuff, but national pastime graphics — baseball, football, etc. Maybe even retro sports, like old school trading cards.
Who’s with me?
i agree with seamless patterns, but not focusing on the typical geometic design. try a floral or urban inspired seamless pattern.
I would love to see a collection of curly lines and flourishes. I constantly have a need for these, and even with pen and paper, I can never get it quite right.
Landmarks and buildings
Wow! Christmas in February! Thanks!
I’m all for seamless patterns — like Old World wallpaper or jazzy retro Formica patterns. Also, swirly flourishes would be great, and like Joe Golike said, I could use some small subtle ornaments too.
Technology, Media, Equpiment, CD Players, Boomboxes, Audio Consoles, Etc.
i love wings!
Seamless patterns!
I think an anatomy set would really help to fill a gap in what’s available
im up for musical-ish type things….instraments, record players, microphones, cassetes or things of that sort.
vintage-ness of them is always most wonderful.
How about a combo… urban, people, buildings and seamless patterns… all Shepard Fairey inspired. THAT would be amazing!
i really like the idea of seamless patterns
it has my vote
Awsome contest! I’m with the go green theme, with some mountains, earthy landscapes, rivers, lakes, coastlines..I like the idea of seamless patterns as well..And Thank You!
Decorative scrolls, seamless patterns and heraldry grunge would be super cool !
I’m with Brian above: technology items like CDs, keyboards, computer profiles, modern video gear like HD cameras, lighting rigs, etc.
Retro Sci-Fi for the win! – Rockets, RayGuns, Robots and … Hhhmm …. Rabbits!
But seamless patterns are always usefull – so that would be sweet as well.
I love the idea of musical instruments and symbols. A bunch of cars and roadsigns would be cool, too….
The “Heavens and Earth”.
how about some tattoo design like ed hardy style. something different but same style.
Seamless patterns would be good especilally floral swirlies, victorian walpaper style. I also liked the household objects idea; appliances, stationary, lightbulbs etc. Go green, environmental stuff. Luggage and luggage tags, roadsigns, a brain, arcitechtural drawings, casettes, typewriters, bowler hats and an empty cardboard box. All retro! Thanks so much!!!!!
I’d like to see some vector images of DSLR cameras and / or camera equipment.
Cool idea. Thanks for the awesome free stuff!
Detailed bodyparts like Eyes, Hands/gestures etc. would be nice.
Heraldry, ivy, vines, flowers, tribals and so on.
seamless patterns!! or some flourishes, ecological theme ( leaves, recycle, earth, trees, etc..), buildings, floorplans…
Victorian, retro, …
some classic style Japanese koi and perhaps some phoenix abstracts,….
Vector girls!
atmosphere of winter holidays in exclusive resorts, eq. fur hoods – to finish in elegant fox coats
Heraldic animals – floral swirls -crowns – wings – all in a hand drawn style. Sort of like the handmade flower ornaments made by BittBox.
http://www.bittbox.com/freebies/free-vectors-hand-drawn-decorative-elements/
http://www.bittbox.com/freebies/free-vectors-hand-drawn-decorative-ornaments-ii/
seamless pattens would be very useful!
Grungy, gothic, Victorian seamless textures…
instruments and vintage patterns…
Cartoon animals and such would be awesome!
Comic book characters. Bodies, faces, grimaces, cute cartoons or realistic humans.
Retro Seamless Patterns would be great! The industrial revolution and factory/industrial parts ideas would also be great.
Seamless patterns, cartoon animals, famous buildings!
landscapes, cities, urban and animals…
Sketchy line drawings of people’s silhouettes would be awesome.
I think a selection of music related vectors would be great!
Hello I think that fast food and coffee theme would be great! I think about food that is often eaten in offices or something.
seamless patterns vintage/retro style
I second the “Go Green” idea. I’m an in-house designer for the parent company of 5 hospital. Each hospital is going green and requesting a ton of materials for it (of course they don’t want to look like each other).
I love your work and would like to see your version of “Going Green”.
Buildings, or famous landmarks around the US would be awesome! Thanks guys!
I like the buildings idea too, but with a slight twist. Buildings that are destroyed a bit would be cool. You know like they’ve survived an explosion or something.
Food would be a great set. I’m always designing advertisements for restaurants. I don’t want to use the same tired clip-art all the time, but the lazy buggers refuse to provide quality photos of their food!
i woould love to see some wedding based vecotrs.. nice scrolls swirls and things that could be used on wedding invites or wedding related sites such as photosgraphy or dj or catering
Thanks
I’m into the Asian themed vectors (whether it’s Chinese, Japanes, Thai, whatever) or maybe a scatter brush packs
I also dig those japanese-like cartoons, sort of like the characters from the katamari game (but this wouldn’t be in the style from Designious)
Hatching and Cross-hatching; varying in size, angle, spacing, and thickness.
i liked this so i am quoting it:
“I would love some good seamless patterns. Both some ornate damasks and some retro 70s patterns. I’m always looking for something like that….”
Thanks and good luck reading all these.
I’d like to see some human figures. Either realistic engravings with a vintage flavor or maybe in a style like this: http://posters.nce.buttobi.net/big/0220c.jpg
Well, some cute animals & birds?!!
I would find some kids boarding, texting, listening to an iPod, modern activities versus boyscouts round the camp fire, would be really useful.
Great contest idea! Thanks.
Tatoo’s, how cool would that be! You know a bit of tribal stuff, some funky swirls and flower pattterns, and then maybe mix it up with a skull or two!
Such a good competition idea! Thanks!
Vehicles – Especially industrial.
This is awesome!!!
My top three would be landscapes, seamless patterns, and vintage items.
Thank you!
I’d love to see both seamless patterns and musical instruments.
Robots! and Body parts…Wait…How about Robot body parts that you can build your own!
I’d love to see some gorgeous flourishes, swirls and florals!
Definitely turn of the century ornamentation! All kinds of that wickedly cool swirls, patterns, corners, mortises, and frames.
With the explosion of personal genealogy web sites, there is a need for original art. The boring clip art out there just doesn’t do the job. I’d love some original vectors with a genealogy theme.
GREAT IDEA!
how about some propaganda/russian revolution themed vectors?
Flourishes and swirls.. but.. in a Grunge style.. also grunge seamless patterns. :)
sorry to be un-unique… but to quote a quote…
“i liked this so i am quoting it:
“I would love some good seamless patterns. Both some ornate damasks and some retro 70s patterns. I’m always looking for something like that….””
i can always use some good patterns
Industrial revolution would be excellent, or Victorian people/objects.
halftone patterns would be way sweet (not just dots).
anything dealing with arrows of all shapes, vintage, retro, urban, and trees are always fun.
im a big fan of a GOING GREEN theme.
also a theme dealing with signs and other pictorials would be cool
Heraldy because it’s really good in terms of ornaments, good to create the project of my website.
I think Seamless patterns and some generic vintage gothic elements would be a good mix. Besides that, I like cars.
I think it should be Seamless patterns, Vintage/Gothic design elements, and cars/vehicles.
I think it should be Seamless patterns, Vintage/Gothic design elements, and cars/vehicle
Sorry, didn’t mean to post 3 times.
I think more abstract plants like that last pack they gave for free.
I’d like to see business/capitalism or green business vectors.
Patterns! 60s/70s style. Bring those funky wallpapers back.
I would go for what nh4mer said, flourishes and scrolls would be best as they can be used to make more things.
I’m all for a Industrial/Warehouse/Production line/Machine type.
“I think that a good vector pack would be random scrolling and flourishes.”
I concur.
I think anything that has a retro feel to it, maybe with some street/graffiti inspiration behind it
I would like to see some filligree and flurishes
flourishes of any kind…
A new Sci-Fi vector Pack
Steam punk vectors, or like others have said turn of the century stuff.
hmmm…. seamless patterns sound general enough. You can’t go wrong with that. But how about decorated alphabets? Something to easily manipulate with. I don’t see much of those around. Typographical stuff!
In my exicement, I forgot to say…. THANK YOU!
I would like some letterpress ornamental type stuff…maybe similar to this:
http://www.boxcarpress.com/letterpress/invitations/
Including some fancy letters etc.
Thanks!
I like the idea of seamless patterns…
also, *horses*! to use in collages and stuff.
Eco-friendly that is a bit more creative than the standard recycle icon.
I’d like to have some Hot-Rods.
That would be great.
I think it would be cool to have some nice intricate seamless pattern backgrounds.
Cartoon-ish animals would be useful. Also, retro robots would be awesome.
Please, not seamless patterns. They are useful, but you already have plenty of good ones.
How about face components. A collection of mixed eyes, ears, mouths, noses, etc… I didn’t find any packs on the site like this so it would be completely new.
Vintage and/or grungy seamless patterns…
I just saw someone suggested sci-fi too. I can always use spaceships and aliens.
I would like pattern or abstract decoration please
Paleolithic cave art would be a nice, fresh chance.
I really liked the destroyed heraldry brushes that were on Bittbox a while back and it gave me some ideas. How about a vector pack that incorporates all kinds of stamps and seals. Could be anything from presidential/national seals to the type of melted wax signet seals used on letters and scrolls.
Flowing Ribbons and swirls with your little trees for Spring
How can you choose? You have enough ideas to stay in business for the next 10 years…
I’m going to go with: Vector cities & monuments/space objects/and vintage items (20’s, 50s, 70s, etc.)
Thanks for askin’
Steampunk objects are always fun, a lot of grungy vector patterns would also work very nicely.
I like the old school robots idea- and how about some vintage rayguns too?
Seamless patterns or a fresh eco-friendly/green themed pack.
Seamless patterns a must. Grunge and/or flourish design elements a big plus too!
SEAMLESS PATTERNS!
How about a vector pack of tree silhouettes? All four seasons?
seamless patterns and textures would be great. it’s easy to create these in raster format – just fire up the camera! line art is more valuable.
It’d be awesome to have some kind of geometric objects to add to my designs!
Buildings/architecture that is sort’ve generic in the sense that it isn’t recognizable buildings.
I think that would be pretty useful.
First off you guys are awesome. Thanks so much for all the time you guys put in. Anyway, I think some re-vamped retro/vintage/50’s artwork would be kind of cool. Maybe something along the lines of old school package design. Think diner aesthetics…bright red, steel and black…etc
This is cool. So many good ideas. I’d like a pack of retro people, bldgs, etc., but not sure what time period. I think Great Depression era could be really useful these days.
I can’t believe this wasn’t my first suggestion.
SHIPS! Old wood sailing ships, fishing boats, rowers, etc.
Think along the lines of Winslow Homer
nothing too specific. not like buildings or ships or trees. something with broader uses, like design elements that can be used for futuristic images, or retro, vintage, classic, what have you.
A vector pack for creating backgrounds and or minor elements in a picture. Gives them so much more usability.
Birds. Good Birds and tree/nest/eggs.
First off, thanks…I really appreciate all the amazing work you all generate. Your site has been a tremendous help as I dive deeper into design. I’d love to have a more contemporary pack of “heraldy” stuff, swirls, and drops, etc. I’d also take any contemporary treatments of nature (trees, birds, seasonal elements, etc). Thanks for the consideration!
I’m sure whatever you guys do will be cool.
:s.
Seamless patterns would be good or trees.
I’d have to opt for some grungy musical instruments. Guitars through to drums.
You’re a champ for doing this for all of us BB devotees.
1st choice.
love the swirl ideas. everything I find seems to be so boring. throw some grunge in there for good measure.
2nd choice.
love the idea of ornate damask.
(pretty easy to tell who the girl are here from the guys) :)
Thanks for everything you share!!
Human organs! (for real)
I would like to see some vector buildings
yep – seamless patterns would be sweet.
I think seamless patterns or musical instruments would be cool. Or the best of both worlds – seamless patterns of musical instruments!
(I love this Web site)
Swirly, flourish-ey, elegant, classy, modern…. : )
I really like the idea of grungy factory/industrial things, gears and machines and the like.
The fast food idea is great, with coffee and soft drink. Even just the containers they come in – Bottles, cups etc
Seamless for sure, industrial & “Go Green”
I would love have to agree with the idea of the grungy/industrial vectors… gears, nails, screws, pullies, etc
I vote for seamless patterns!!!
Something I would really love to see is old civil war-era style artwork. It seems to be a genre that remains untouched by the digital art community. Something like the eagle in this picture:
http://www.richardsilverstein.com/tikun_olam/images/haverstraw_civil_war_poster.jpg
Great idea. Thank you. Exploded objects or an anatomy set would be really helpful.
what about vector textures? I mean sure, you can get some here and there… but what about wood grain, and grungy style stuff? that would be ool, and very re-usable!
I think seamless would be great
Some “go green” vectors would be cool
Perhaps even some halftone patterns.
I was recently searching for african vectors of a tribal party. Like people dancing around fires with Djembes and cool tribal clothing.
circus, buildings, fantasy, oceanic, Mayan, and Majestic Birds.
Those are the ones I came up with, ejoy.
my vote is for seamless patterns… thanks so much!!
hmmm…. maybe some thorough turntable set with orthographics incl. isometric? (some portables, some high-end, some DJ decks, etc.. even a victrola!)
also, maybe a nice set of tools…like wood/machine shop tools. hand tools would be great..wrenches, screwdrivers, clamps, snips, hex keys, etc…the works.
or…a series of sets themed ‘bad movies of the ___ (’80s, ’90s..whatever)
gym equipment set
dirty laundry ornamental set
interesting cardboard or styrofoam packaging set
soles of sneakers set
coins of the world
so, many possibilities…thanks for doing anything for free.
I second this request from nh4mer:
I think that a good vector pack would be random scrolling and flourishes. Things that you can take and manipulate creating many other things out of them. Having both the versatility to use “as is”, but also make something completely new…for instance, a scroll, you could use as is, or take the basic design and layout of it and turn it into an ivy type graphic, or use multiple versions of them and create some gnarly wings…
I could go for some cool sports vectors.
a music pack but not just instruments, spotlights, stages, performers stuff like that
I would love a collection of vector fasteners such as faux staples, screws, bolts, scotch tape, sown seams, and folds.
Tiki, Tiki, and more tiki!
70’s car vectors. Challenger, Camaro, Charger, Scout, Pinto, Datsun, … all of them.
patterns would be good. be it seamless or otherwise.
Im not going to read all the commenst above. if theres something I mention someone else have mentioned.. Im sorry.. Just too much to read. lol
Wings – All kinds of Wings you get. From real looking wings to gothing tattoo Wings. Almost like those on the preview picture there about this contest.
Crest Objects – Like a those lions on their back feet touching a shield or something.
Curves – Nice illustrative Curves like those guys from india are using or the french. Will be very usefull.
Flowers – All kinds of flowers will be great. Even only their heads will do. Cartoonish flowers will be nice too, but only their heads. Will be great to work that in with the curves.
Thanks for this competition. I cant wait to download the vectors. :D
Industrial Revolution, Heavy machinery, gears, cogwheel, wrench, tools…… that kind of stuff would be great! It can be used in many ways. Thanks!!
Earth, flowers, insects, trees, fruits, animals lots of them would be very useful and fun to play with with.
I would love to see a vector pack of architectural things such as pillars and columns, the stonework and sculpture around these elements, gargoyle, angel and other reliefs. I also love the idea of a vector pack of historical places like the great pyramids, the Colosseum, Stone Henge and everywhere else. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Thanks!!
Architectural structural objects in a very broad way.
Possibilities for more than one Pack.
Classic but also modern.
Skyscraper metal structure, bridge structure, wooden house structure, antique bridge etc…
please NO patterns, there are tones out there.
How about fruits, snacks , junk food , drinks…you got the idea :)
Hmmm, nice once. As a graphic designer i always like abstract graphic elements, grungy stuff, ornamentals, swirls and fluffy stuff. Always nice to use in backgrounds!
eco-friendly/green themed pack
i’d love to get somewings…
cause they would make my styles fly. ; )
i design invitations. decorative “boxes” would be wonderful. similar to the “bracket labels” found here: http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/giftwrap/labels.html
thanks for doing this!
I think I’d use seamless patterns or a nice set of shapes, decor, and flourishes. Those could be used for so many different projects…
Zombies. Robots. Aliens.
Rocket Bombs.
I am always in the need for basic textures and shapes: splatters, scratches, etc. to accent my designs and basic shape elements to construct new backgrounds and bases.
Less is more. Simple, for me, is more useful than complex.
I’d like some ornamental, flowery, leafy, flurish type vector stuff!
Background patterns and continuos patterns would be nifty.
Many thanks for freebies. All ideas are great although I’d love the buildings and landscape option best. Second, randoms swirls and shapes.
I love all that you gift me…
Thank you for all…
Hugs
I think an interesting vector pack would be modern martial arts. Martial artist (MMA, grapling, karate, katana) with a modern look!
These custom vector packs are awsome. I would love to see a “modern cars and trucks” vector pack. There really isn’t many around and the automotive industry is always in need of vectors for advertising, and products. Ty
A pack of f-22 raptors dropping and firing bombs would be great.
Some continuous wood grain patterns (like wood floors?) would be rad. I’m all about the natural textures lately.
Industrial Revolution!
I would love some cityscapes of DIFFERENT cities, i.e. NOT New York…more off the wall stuff like Detroit, Pittsburgh, etc.
I would love some old retro style clip art vectors. Like old travel posters or even some 1950’s stuff.
Some business related items would be great. I always end up using those in things or needing to make them myself.
Seamless patterns would be great.
Telecom item would be nice too.
I would like to see swirly lines with different lighting effects/glows.
I would like 2 see graphic designs of birds and flowers thrown together.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions, we’ll get started on the vectors soon!
