Photoshop offers many different types of presets, including gradient. When you use the gradient tool, you can set your own custom colors or choose a preset. Photoshop comes with some default gradient presets, but you can also create and save your own, or download and install presets created by others.
Click on the gear icon in the gradient tool and click on “import gradients.” Now, browse your desktop to find the gradient file you want to import. You'll need to download it first if you're getting the file from a third-party. Gradient preset files will end in .grd.
Gradients can be used in many ways, including backgrounds and layer overlays. Photoshop comes with default gradient presets, but you can expand your options by downloading and installing third-party gradient packs, or you can create your own.
