Ok, I’m gonna start off this week with the 3 lucky winners of PrintProof, an iPhone app for preparing files for printing. And the winners are Peter L, Jason Owens, and Jerry. Congrats guys! And thanks to PrintProof for the giveaway. You guys should receive an email from me shortly. :)

Hey all you freebie lovers, here’s an opportunity to win an iPhone app. The first BittBox iPhone app contest, but it’s design related so I thought BittBoxers would like it! PrintProof is a simple checklist app geared towards junior designers as a helpful tool to remind you what to check before preparing a document for print. Or as you prepare a document for print, rather. I wish I had this app at my first job, but the iPhone didn’t exist back then… I have 3 copies to give away, YAY! Be sure to read the rules, and good luck :)

Not to long ago, Adobe released a free app for the iPhone called Photoshop.com Mobile. It’s obviously and image editor, but it’s usefulness comes from tying directly into your Photoshop.com account. The app is limited to some basic editing features, but I must say, it’s quite nice for a first try.

While this isn’t a typical BittBox post, I think It’s alright to lighten the mood every once in a while. I was recently contacted by iPhone developers Brendan McWeeney and Gianguido Giudetti about a new app that’s just been released to the world, and it utilizes some good ol’ BittBox Photoshop brushes for added effect. The app is called Fartlicious, and I’m sure I don’t need to explain to you what it does, but let’s just say that the BB brush set it uses are my Hi-Res Splatter brushes. I’ll leave it at that :) Anyway, as a way to say thanks, they’ve given me 3 codes to get the app for free.
Thank you all for rolling out for the Box’s 1st Birthday contest. With over 1500 people involved, the odds weren’t in anyone’s favor, but every contest has a winner. Congratulations to Philip J., of Southern California! He was the lucky winner of the iPhone, and he so graciously sent me the image below. (ok, I asked him to). And congratulations to Sean Farrell, of Canada. He was the winner of the GoMedia vector pack! Thanks to everyone for participating, and I’m going to try and make the prizes even better next year (and more of ‘em).
