Random Free Vectors Part 5 - Butterflies

I was playing around with some butterflies this weekend and I have another set of freebies for you. Once again, I haven’t actually had the chance to use these for real, so I think I will just have to start making some designs on my own as case studies to practice. After all, that’s one of the reasons I started BittBox, so I can enjoy designing, without having a client that needs it. Anyway, here are the butterfly vectors I’ve been playing with, maybe you can find a use for them.

   Wow, Wow, Wow. Where do you get your ideas from. You seem to have a limitless supply of cool little pictures that are just itching to be turned into a cool design. Wow!

   Looks pretty cool. The Vector illustration is pretty good. I am not an amateur in Illustration, even though I am pretty much comfortable with Photoshop. Thanks for sharing those freebies.

   I find it quite funny to read coments stating that this must of taken a while and so on and so forth….but in reality people this stuff is pretty easy but looks amazing…….my word of advice is to K.I.S.S. when designing…..Keep It Simple Stupid……it works. So of the most amazing designs are the simplest…..it just that one must aquire the knowledge to make it look good.

   Some nice imagery on this site that I may be able to use. DBdesign was a little blunt with the comment, but I think what he was trying to say is that those wondering how a lot of this is done, more than likely it’s done with the Live Trace feature in Illustrator CS2. You can see how to convert raster images to cool vector art below. This is a pretty complete tutorial to show step by step. They sell a lot of their imagery, but you can create your own just as easy. It just takes a little time.

   It makes it much more difficult if you have an earlier version of Illustrator. Hopes this helps those who were wondering.

    But I have a question, I downloaded some of your illustrator brushes and it works fine.. but i the butterflies some other brushes are not working.. I’m using CS2..

    I guess maybe those not working files are for CS3.. so I need the CS1 or CS2 version..

    I’m I right?
