Free Vector Web Page Elements Part 1

I’m not capable of writing a blog theme, since I don’t know a thing about php. However, I can help with the visuals. Here is a variety set of vector web page design elements. Files are in AI, EPS, and SVG format. In order to customize, you will need a vector graphics editor, such as Adobe Illustrator, or InkScape.

    First, thank you very much for this file, as well as all the other ones you’ve made freely available.

    Second, I don’t understand inkscape. Can anyone tell me how to take one element from the svg file, resize it, and export it as a png or jpg?

    For inkscape, it’s easiest to ungroup the collection of elements until each is a separate element. I had to repeat ungrouping several times. Then select an individual element and use File / Export Bitmap.

    I’m finding that Inkscape doesn’t pick up the layers well. I’ve had to ungroup and reorder the layers for most of these. Just a minor annoyance. I’m using Inkscape 0.45, which was just released. Seems like Illustrator and Inkscape have differences in their SVG implementations.

    Pretty slick! However, it would be pretty cool to have a tutorial on how to create the different glass effects in Illustrator. There are lots of tutorials out there to do it in Photoshop, but not so many in Illustrator.

    Those are nice images but why did you just post a reduced-sized screen capture of them? Why didn’t you post a zip file of them so they could be used separately? As I see it, they can’t even be used.
