72 Free Vector Glass Buttons and Bars
This set is a variety pack of free vector glass buttons and bars for your webpage or blog. Since they are in vector format, they can be easily manipulated and scaled to fit your layout without having to worry about pixellation. To customize, you will need a graphics editor, such as Adobe Illustrator.
Customizing tip: use the direct select tool (white arrow) and select one of the gray background shapes. Then, in the “Select” menu, choose “Select > Same Fill Color.” This will allow you to change the fill color of all 72 bars at the same time.

Hey could you use Illustrator to output an SVG version. These are really nice but I’m on Linux and use Inkscape.
SVG Format Added.
I will be adding an SVG file to every download from now on, as well as all previous posts. This one is in Update form because this story got “dugg” today, and I don’t want to disrupt visitors trying to download.
To get the SVG file from previous posts, re-download the original .zip from the posts.

I’m going to remove the readme from all of my downloads, because apparently it’s confusing people. You may use these files any way you wish. Modify them, use them in your site, or any other design. Just don’t offer the originals as a download from your own site, is if you created them yourself. Any readme suggestions? I thought this was relatively clear, but I guess I was wrong.

do these use such fancy filters that you can save it for old versions of illustrator? I have 9 and I can’t open them.
These are beautiful buttons. well done. I work with usability issues, and these are valuable ‘default; buttons that people should adapt to improve the visual aspect to their kiosk and ‘high usability’ applications..If I was hiring…. :-)

@BittBox: If you have Apache width mod_rewrite installed, and you almost certainly do, you should be able to block 64.233.179.104 and jacelee.com with a .htaccess file like this:

This is a wordpress blog, and if you haven’t protected yourself from hotlinking, here are some helpful links I used to resolve this issue using .htaccess:

What would be cool is a way to use grey images such as this, then colourise them with some sort of CSS technique.
Could you perhaps set the above image as a background to a div, use another element inside that with your text, and have a semi-transparent background PNG that gives it some colour?

I’m afrais I don’t use inkscape enough to be able to give instructions, but I would try to “ungroup” a lot until you can select individual shapes.
