Flickr Find: Bad Menus
We’ve all seen them and we have the graphic designers curse to silently critique them. Yes, bad restaurant menu design is alive and well and I found a Flickr Group devoted to sharing some of them with the world. If you have a spare minute to browse this group, I assure you, it will make you feel better about that design you “weren’t quite happy with but had to go with it because of a deadline.”

Haha! It is a curse indeed. My wife gets aggravated because I’m always griping about the bad designs I see.
Haha, I got a terrible menu for a chinese restaurant the other day. All I could think of was, “I can’t find the price for General Tsao’s chicken, i’m not buying from here.” I think that goes to show how poor design can influence consumer decisions.
Haha, I’m another designer who can’t help be analyze these everyday designs. I did redesign a restaurant’s menu recently though, so I can appreciate it’s more difficult than a lot of people think.
I like this kind of design…
Sometimes things are just toooo nice
but the translations made me laugh more than I’ve laughed for a long time
:D
seems more like a bunch of engrish and weird foods.
i’d have liked to see more badly designed english menus, the chinese restaurants are just too easy.
LOL i always observe Menus and it really surprises me how a designer can massacre an image…. i personally like to keep images in the proportion that it was made so it looks real and natural. UN-PROPORTIONED IMAGES LOOK WIERD!!!!!
haha. hey at least there’s no papyrus or comic sans, right?
