Thanks to everyone who gave me texture ideas on last weeks post, I appreciate it! Today I’m fulfilling one of those requests: leather textures. Just last week I found myself searching for a good leather texture for a project of mine and I realized how hard they are to find on the internet. Hopefully you guys get some good use out of them!

If you’re like me, you’re not very fond of writing actionscript. It can be frustrating, and time consuming. For this giveaway, I have 3 licenses for BannerSnack, from Jumpeye Components, the makers of premium Flash components. Bannersnack makes it quick and easy to make Flash banners for online ads, stripping you of the need to write any code, whatsoever. It’s got a ton of handy built in features, and is available at a variety of prices. (except for the 3 lucky commenters!) You can even edit banners that are already made by others if they choose to make their banners public! If you’d like to find out more, there is a nice collection of videos to get you started, and some examples here. Contest Rules below.

Last Texture Tuesday I got a comment asking for some fabric textures. Well, ask and you shall receive. Which gave me an idea: I’ll be taking requests this week, so just leave a comment mentioning any sort of textures you’d like to see covered in future Texture Tuesdays and I’ll try to do as many as possible. Thanks!

Free Texture Tuesday Rocks! (sorry, I couldn’t help myself after all the witty comments last week) Today I’m sharing some textures featuring small rocks and pebbles that would work perfect for 3D architectural renderings, among other things. If you like these also check out the previous stone and rock texture packs.

Here’s an interesting fact: each year, Americans spill over 9 million gallons of gasoline, which is the equivalent of an oil supertanker. I’ve captured about a quart of that gasoline for the textures today. This oil may not have been used to power a car, but perhaps you can offer it some redemption by finding some good uses for it in your designs.

Now this is what I call democracy at work. A week or two ago, Alex and I opened up our ears and let the votes roll in about what kind of vectors you wanted the most. Originally, we were going to choose just one genre for the vector pack, but instead, we decided a ‘variety pack’ was in order. So here they are folks, the exclusive vector pack from Designious that you all voted for. The pack includes everything you see below but here’s a quick list: buildings, cute animals, floral, seamless retro patterns, seamless boroque patterns, and musical instruments. A big thanks goes out to Alex and the Designious team for their generous contribution to the community, and props on some mad vector skills :) Don’t forget to leave Alex some feedback in the comments!

I’ve got another High Resolution Set of Brushes for everyone! I call them “Romantic Disasters,” but you can call them whatever you like. My last set of brushes, Destroyed Heraldry was pretty popular among the comments that came in, so I decided to do a similar set with a different theme, not to mention we just saw Valentine’s day come and go. Hope you like ‘em :) I’ve got CS1, CS3, CS4 and High-Res PNGs for non-Photoshoppers. There are 10 brushes in the set, and they’re 2500px.
