This Tuesday we have another extremely useful set of concrete textures coming your way. If you’re interested in checking out the previous sets here’s the first one and the second. I hope these come in handy for you and let me know if you make anything awesome with them. Now that the weather is finally getting warmer I can’t wait to go out and start shooting all kinds of new textures for you guys. Enjoy!

I recently received a good question via email from Jimmy with an Illustrator question. Although the solution is simple, if you are unaware of the solution, it can be very annoying. Jimmy’s question was “When in brush mode, why is it that when you go to make a second stroke, it erases the first one?” A good question Jimmy, and I’m sure you’re not the first one to become frustrated with this in Illustrator. Here we go…

Time for something a little different today: vine textures. I realize that these textures will only serve a very specific purpose, but to this date I haven’t seen any good vine textures, so I thought I’d try and provide some. As always, if you end up using these in any awesome projects please let me know, I love seeing your work! Enjoy!

Hey everyone, good news! I’m sure most of you are aware by now that I recently developed Brush Pilot (last year), since I have had giveaways here on BittBox occasionally.
For the next 4 weeks, Brush Pilot will be available in a bundle on TheMacBundles.com, along with 11 other titles for only $49.95. It’s a good way to save some money, not only on Brush Pilot, but the other apps as well.

This week I have a nice subtle grunge texture pack for you guys. I’ve played around with this idea before on Lost and Taken and Designm.ag, if you like these and would like to download more. Let me know if you make anything cool from them. Enjoy!

The other day I was wandering around some back allies in my town and came across all of these cool poles that had been painted and scraped and repainted over and over again. I thought it gave these grunge textures a very cool feel, almost like an abstract acrylic painting or something. I’ve got all kinds of cool textures coming your way in the next few weeks, so get excited! Enjoy!

Congratulations to Trevor C, Rommel Miraflores, and Jess. They were the 3 lucky winners of a free Floral Mega Pack of vectors from Designious.com. I’d like to take a second and give a special thanks to Alex, from Designious. In the past 1-2 years, he has generously donated hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars worth of vectors to the BittBox readership. Thanks again Alex for all the lovely vector goodness. We all appreciate it.
