There are tons of undocumented Photoshop shortcuts out there, lots of which can make our lives a lot easier if we only take advantage of them. I want to show you one that I use often. I would only assume that as designers, we would typically have our rulers turned on most of the time. (I’ve tested this as far back as CS1) To access your Photoshop preferences quickly, just double-click on a ruler! That’s it!

Adobe has just posted a PDF to their website regarding Leopard compatibility. It Looks like most of the CS3 packages will be fine after an update or 2, but CS2 and Older (including Macromedia Studio 8) are marked as “Likely to encounter issues to which there is no solution” and “Not Designed” [for Leopard]. If you are running CS3 Web Standard, it looks like you are good to go, while most of the other packages require updates, however, some of the individual CS3 apps are OK. (including Photoshop and Illustrator).

I was messing around tonite with some foliage shapes and scraped together a small set for a freebie. Everyone liked the last set of foliage vectors, and these are a little more detailed, so enjoy. I promised some of you that I would test CS1 in the new Leopard install and I’m glad to report that (so far) it seems to work fine. Impressive on both Adobe, and Apple’s part in my book, given CS1′s age. I haven’t crunched any huge files yet, but everything I grazed over seemed to be in working order. (I’m only talking about Photoshop and Illustrator here, by the way). You might note that I had CS1 installed on my hard drive and did an “upgrade” to Leopard. I didn’t install CS1 afterwards.
