One of the things that I've noticed over the course of the last two years of shooting textures is that a surface can look completely different when wet than what it looks like dry. Take concrete for example, rain really helps to bring out the contrast. I feel wet concrete makes far better textures than dry concrete. Wood is another prime example. Moisture really helps to bring out the details in the wood grain. I hope you enjoy them!
