I’ve got one more set of high-res Photoshop brushes for you on this Freebie Friday post, then we’ll be switching it up. This is a set of watercolor brushes that measure 2500px on the long side, big enough for nearly all of your projects. Try layering a few of the brushes on top of each other to gain a natural look and feel. Enjoy!

Free High-Res Texture Pack: Grungy Watercolor

I know I’ve been on a texture kick recently, but I’m hoping you all don’t mind. These are the textures I created in order to make my most recent set of Photoshop Brushes. I didn’t see a reason to let then collect dust on my hard drive, so I thought I’d share the source files. They look quite different in full color :) You can click on each image to view at Flickr, or download all in a zip at the bottom.

I’ve got another set of killer brushes for everyone. These are, as always, super large brushes. There are 10 in the set, and I also included a zip file with PNGs for non-Photoshop users. I’ll be releasing the actual textures themselves in another post soon. I made these from a combination of watercolor and india ink. Hope you put them to good use :) Preview and download after the jump.

Free Illustrator Brushes: Ink/Watercolor

I’ve got another set of Illustrator brushes for everyone. I previously released these shapes as vectors, but decided to go ahead an make a brush library out of them. I hope you can put them to good use. Screenshot after the jump.

Installation:

Even though it has an .ai extension, the file you downloaded is an “Illustrator Brush Library,” not an actual Illustrator file. You will not be able to open the file in Illustrator.

1. Unzip the File.

2. Copy or move the file to your Illustrator > Presets > Brushes folder.

3. Restart Illustrator If it was open during installation.

After you restart Illustrator, you will be able to load the brushes by clicking on the little arrow in the upper right corner of the brushes palette. Or go to Window > Brush Libraries > and choose the file from the list.
