Being from the Midwest, an area infamous for “bad” weather, I get to see all kinds of awesome clouds and storms during spring and summer. These clouds were all shot in Kansas and Oklahoma over the past couple of years, some of the storms even went on to produce tornadoes. Sometime this summer I’m hoping to get some cool lightning textures to post here on Texture Tuesday. I think you guys would like those ;)

Hey everyone, I’ve got some cool free stuff to start off the week. FlashOtaku has offered up 3 licenses for one of their Flash components to some lucky BittBox commenters! The component up for grabs is called “Slideshow“, and it’s a powerful Flash component used for viewing images, with a variety of transition effects to choose from. Sure, Spring has been here for quite some time now…nevertheless I’m just now getting around to shooting some of the green stuff outside. This week I have some leaf textures, more specifically I tried to focus on the veins of the leaves. Let me know if you guys dig them!

I’ve got a set of vectors for everyone today. These are engravings from currency and old documents. Most of them came from the previous generation of American paper money. I’ve always liked engraving, so I decided to make a set. I hope you can find a good use for them. :)
