Ok, we have a holiday on our hands soon and I’m feeling like some of of you might want some free software. It’s been a while since we’ve had a Brush Pilot giveaway here on BittBox, so I think Thanksgiving week would be a perfect time. I’m giving away 5 copies of Brush Pilot to some lucky commenters, and I also have a Cyber Monday coupon code for 50% off. The coupon code is “ILOVEBRUSHES,” and it’s good starting Thursday and ends at midnight on Cyber Monday. Make sure you read the rules, and good luck :)

I normally don’t post about these things, but as most of you probably know, I’m the developer of Brush Pilot so I thought I’d make an announcement. There are only 2 days left to get Brush Pilot and 11 other Mac apps in the MacFriendly Bundle ». The total cost of the bundle is only $39.99, which is a great deal because retail, these 12 apps would cost over $400 if you bought them individually.
It’s time to announce the winners of a free copy of Brush Pilot 2.0! And the winners are: Glenn Van Bogaert, John Dickinson, and nrkinney. Congratulations to the three winners. I hope you enjoy the software. Brush Pilot has been 3 years in the making and it’s come a long way since 1.0. Oh, and tell your friends! :)

Happy Friday everyone! How about some free software? I’ve got three copies of Brush Pilot 2.0 to give away to 3 lucky commenters. Brush Pilot 2.0 was a major upgrade and has taken the software from a simple previewer to a conversion tool as well. Most notable of the new features is the ability to export brushes in PNG format with transparent backgrounds!

The three lucky winners of a free copy of Brush Pilot™ are Zuba, Lyn, and Kristen Collins! I’m almost done with Brush Pilot 2.0, so keep an eye out for that. And just in case there is any confusion, Brush Pilot users get free updates for life. Congrats again to the winners, I hope you enjoy using the program!

As many of you know, I’ve spent the better part of 3 years working on Brush Pilot, a Photoshop brush previewer for OS X. We are about to come out with a major update that not only adds 4 languages (Spanish, French, Swedish, and Italian), but we are also in the process of fixing two major CS3 bugs. One that involves the folder names of the “Presets” and “Brushes” folders, which is where Photoshop brushes get installed. The other bug is where I need your help. The only thing left in order to complete the next update is what file “Kind” in OS X in Spanish does Brush Pilot need to look for? I usually find these things out on Twitter, or when customer support emails come in, but I’m really excited about this next update, so I thought I’d make a post and reach out to a wider audience. Details after the jump.
