Apple has just released Aperture 2, and shaved a $100 off the price. (Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe it used to be around $300) If you’re a Mac user and a Photographer, this is great news. Personally, I love Aperture for RAW image processing. I think I’m finally gonna buckle down and drop the cash for it this time. Can’t wait to see what’s new!

Aperture 2 Gets a Price Drop

It also looks like Apple is making sure they take care of people who recently purchased Aperture 1.5 (Maybe they really did learn something from the whole iPhone-early-adopter situation). If you purchased Aperture 1.5 between January 1st, 2008 and March 14th, 2008, you can upgrade to Aperture 2 for $9.95. More info here.

If you bought Aperture before January 1st, 2008, your upgrade will be $99.
