Freeware Find: CapSee (OS X)

Wether you’re a programmer, designer, or just a web surfer, I’m sure you’ve accidentally hit the Caps Lock key before. Especially if you’re a terrible typer, like myself, this can get really annoying. I like anything that keeps annoying things out of my life. That’s why as soon as I found CapSee, I immediatley downloaded and installed it. CapSee is an exptremely simple app for OS X that will display a bezel on screen when you accidentally hit the Caps Lock key. Simply Awesome. (in my opinion)

    This is indeed cool!

    I just turn off my Caps Lock key in the Keyboard prefs > Modifier Keys… settings. Set mine to “No action”. I never use it.

    Very helpful! I even hit the caps lock and didn’t notice while typing this. Has the unique mac style notification like when you turn your sound up or down. Very good find for anyone on a mac.

    I’m with George (#1 above)—I turned this “most annoying key ever” off in System Preferences, because I never use it.

    I can’t believe people NEVER use their caps lock key. I’m thinking disabling it is a bit extreme, but I like the option of having the alert. Cool app. Price is right too!

    Thanks for Info – this one *could* be usefull, but I don’t even want to see that bezel. Just turned CapsLock off for something usefull – even if it’S starting your browser is better than feeling like I am on an old typewriter …

    Can they make this for the iPhone too please??? Every time I try to type something like “stay” it comes out “stY” stupid fat fingers

    Doesn’t everyone map that useless Caps Lock key to something else? Why run this util? Remapping it is easy in OS X.
