Faster Freeware Searching on Apple Downloads Site (Video)

I’d like to show you a very quick time-saving search tip that I use to find freeware on the Apple site. We all love freeware, so let get our grubby hands on it even quicker, shall we? Have a watch.

Alternatively, you can search by keyword (type in “freeware”) using a Custom Google Search Engine. I created one below for the Imaging and 3D category on the Apple downloads site. Here is the homepage for the search engine if you’d like to bookmark it. You can create a search engine for any category, or the entire downloads section if your heart so desires.

I hope these two quick tips saves you some time. Happy searching :)

  1. Ooooo! Thanks for the tip! I’m going to go see what they got right now.

  2. So there are still people who don’t know how to use Firefox? Sometimes I think ‘Highlight all’ is better than Google ;)

  3. Thanks Captain obvious!

  4. Good tip Jay, I use this every day. I’m sure it’s much appreciated by those that didn’t know it.

Don’t listen to the ungrateful and keep up the good work!

  5. It’s humanly impossible to know every single shortcut, tip and trick out there. Show a little more sensitivity to the newbies [or not] guys – all it succeeds in revealing is your own insecurity.

    Thanks Jay for being real.

  6. I use this with Safari all the time. It is included in the base Safari without any add-ons.

    great thing though

  7. Wow thanks for wasting my time with this rubbish. If you wanted to be quicker then just get windows ;)

  8. Good tip :)

  9. This tip is great. I don’t until today. I use safari and apple+F is the qucik solution to find keywords on a webside ;)
