My brush started too look pixelated all of a sudden - googled "pixelated brush problem" & found this page. The pen thing didn't solve it, but when I restarted Photoshop it went back to normal... Don't know what caused it - some accidental shortcut-thing perhaps? My only advice at this point: restart the program.

Hey guys. If this doesn't work for you, I figured out what else might be the problem. Your brush mode might be set to dissolve. So just change it back to normal. Click on the brush tool, and there should be a scrollbar thing on the toolbar under Mode.

carissa
had same, brush selected, not pencil, but still pixelated. Turned out I accidentaly scrolled brush mode from normal to Dissolve. Once I put it back to Normal mode, it is good again. (mode is located next to the brush tip, on top palette.

I thought this would fix my problem. All of a sudden, at the very end of design, my brush began to pixelate everything ... the pencil tool was not the problem (tried it). Any idea what else could be wrong?

Anyway, this is great info. thanks!

I think I will not change my keyboard shortcut just for this matter. Because Photoshop has so many commands that makes us run out of keyboard keys... unless you wanted to trouble yourself with the combination of ctrl+alt+shift keyboard shortcuts
