I followed your tutorial and it worked fantastically. The brushes saved and now I have an artwork adorned with them… however, after having closed and reopened Photoshop, all the brushes are gone. I thought defining the brush preset would save each one permanently. Was I wrong? Can I get my brushes back?

To save be sure to go to “preset manager”, select the brush(es) and save the set. otherwise it will disappear when you change brushes.

Great tutorial!

I have a problem though. I’m a photographer and I’ve been trying to make my signature into a brush. The only problem is – I need the signature in white and from what I’ve read photoshop can do every colour BUT white.

Is there any way around this? As all my images have a black border and a white sig would look really nice.

So, I just made my first brush set to give away and discovered that brushes are not backwards compatible. I used CS4 I guess I’ll have to fire up an old G3 that has PS7 and try making them again.
