BB Free Font: Fusty Saddle

Alright everyone, I’ve just finished up a new font I’ve been working on for your downloading pleasure! My inspiration for this font came from Sideshow, by Harold’s fonts. I hand drew every character on paper before tweaking them on screen. The font contains A through Z and 0 through 9. In case you’re wondering what ‘fusty’ is, it means “Old fashioned in attitude or style.” It was a fun font to make, and I hope you all put it to good use :)

Illustrator 101: Escape Text Boxes without the Mouse

This is a quick Illustrator tip, but in my opinion, a priceless one if its new to you. Have you ever been typing in Illustrator and hit the “V” key to select the move tool (or any other tool shortcut for that matter), but instead, Illustrator just types a v? Yeah, it happened to me all the time, until I figured this out. Are you tired of having to click on the move tool, then click on the artboard, then click the text tool, and then click again, just to start another empty text box? It’s truly annoying to be stripped of your tool shortcuts while you’re editing an active text box, but help is only one keystroke away.

Free Vectors: Hand-drawn Decorative Ornaments II

I’m back from about a week-long hiatus, and I wanted to kick things back off with some killer freebies. This is another set of “hand-drawn” decorative ornaments. A lot of you seemed to like the first set and I enjoy making them, so I decided to crank out some more. These were hand sketched on pencil/paper then scanned and converted to vectors. They may not look like vectors, but trust me, they are. Available in EPS and SVG, as always. Preview of what’s inside after the jump.
