BittBox Helping Break the News on CNN/MSNBC
This is a rather unusual post, but a few emails have come in pointing out some BittBox stuffs being used to break the news. It’s kinda neat seeing people put this stuff to good use, and an example of just how far-reaching sharing resources online can go.

Apparently CNN likes some of my textures as you can see below.

And MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show was spotted using one of my fonts, Tire Shop for a segment called “Rachel Re:”

Anyway, like I said, kind of an unusual post, but maybe it can get some of you a little more inspired :)

That’s awesome! Bittbox on CNN :)
WOW! That’s awesome. You should definitely put that stuff in your portfolio!
Hey congrats my friend, that is pretty awesome to see some of your own work used by the people at cnn.
Cheers,
Matt
That is great! I watch the Rachel Maddow Show every night and have never noticed. Now I have even more of a reason to watch.
That is great! Nice to see people putting your freebie work to good use!
Grats!
I still wonder why they never email or at least let you know that your graphics are going to be used on the program. Very awesome though!
Awesome! Gratz Bitt!
I’d love to see some of my freebies used like that.
That’s pretty cool, congrats. On a side note, isn’t it interesting that traditional media outlets, like the news, are turning more and more to a sense of “graphical awareness” in their day to day product? I mean, an occasional event use to merit a specific overall graphical theme, but now every aspect seems to have a very “hip” or current graphic flavor. The example of the font is great. That style of font was made known through indie examples like Neopolian Dynomite yet not every day news media is using it. It’s a cool trend.
that is seriously amazing. cheers to your awesome work and inspiration!
wow..congratulations – I bet You feel great ! :)
That’s awesome. Of course, when you provide such a vast amount of high-quality, useful resources, it’s only a matter of time before you start seeing them used all over.
One of CNN’s designers is on to us!
I work as a designer for a newspaper and I can say that not only have I used Bittbox in my designs, I’ve turned on several others to it as a resource. Please keep up the good work.
That’s awesome Jay! Congratulations! :)
This goes to show even “designers” at large corporations and networks still troll the Internet for fantastic free downloads. ;) You my friend, are genius.

Congratulations, man. It’s very good to see people appreciating your work!
I use bittbox as a source for my design concept stuff. I send every designer i know to this site, and make sure that I give credit on all of my work. without this site, I think a lot of us would be missing a huge weapon in our graphical arsenal!
