I find myself staring at each piece, and thinking “Oh I like that part, or this part.” So I guess that means that I like his work… maybe even a lot.

are you art director for those clients? didn’t think so.
are you guestwriter for renowned magazines? didn’t think so.

his work may seem the same over and over again, but if you think about it, he clearly is very good in this style he may call his own!

do you have a recognizable style thousands of people like? didn’t think so.

I’m with just about everyone else. I had seen his work before and was first drawn in by the fuze work. Once I got to his site i was disappointed. His entire portfolio seems to revolve around one design concept. Some of it I could accept as fine art and put on my wall. He seems to fall back on the “artist’s style” crutch, but I still don’t follow it.

A lot of designers have a certain style but can consistently develop something new. Just like everybody else, sometimes I get excited about a single idea and run with it, but after two or three pieces or maybe a couple days, it’s time to move on.

I don’t think it’s the “same style” that is the problem. There is a genuine lack of concept development in his work. To me — and so it seems, many other people, it is just a bunch of pretty elements and colors thrown together.

I agree about with Nattobasso, white text on a light grey background shows a major lack of design sense.

Brand Nu has some skills in Photoshop, his composition is pretty decent but beyond that he’s like a supermodel. Good looking at first glance but when you look under the pretty makeup you see all of the flaws.

Well, if it works, use it…but there is a point, with every designer, that you’ll see that it’s time to move on with something different.

Every painter had their style, you never heard someone saying “Man, that Picasso always paints the same way”. Looking at these pieces kinda reminds me of paintings.

It’s pretty effective at getting someone’s attention though. So they’ve done a great job at what an ad is supposed to do :)

I understand what you are saying about the designer having his style and sticking to it, but this style was not created by this particular designer. You analogy of the Rolling Stones does not fit, as the Rolling Stones did create their own style, even if many of their songs were the same style.

This designer’s work is very impressive, but it is not innovative, the Rolling Stones were.

As much as I’d like to agree with the ‘too-much-of-the-same’ comments I have to go against. I’m a bit of a fan, gotta confess.

Yes his works are using certain style but if you look at style of other contemporaries, you’ll find a pattern which they used a lot, which becomes their signature style and style they commissioned for.

It’s like saying Rolling Stones are boring as they only play one style of music.
