  1. Whats with my blog feeds and timing lately? I was just getting ready to order my cards this week! Now I’ll probably get a different idea and wait, but its worth it!

  2. Nice list, thanks!

  3. HAH!! I happen to need business cards and had intended to get them done next week. Thanks for the inspiration Bitt.

  4. Cool list!!
The problem I’m dealing with are the costs. To create such business cards is quite expensive.
At the moment I’m a student of a small student company (it’s a school project) and we have a budget of only €1500,- for everything (so products, promotion, etc.) I got the ideas and the designs in my head but guess I don’t have the money to pay for it.
If somebody have some tips for making such awesome business cards , please drop me a line!
    thnx in advance
    Ard

  5. wow, so many great ideas!
i saw a book on the topic in urban outfitters one time and thought it was the greatest thing ever!

    @ Ard Block
Dude, your a student, you have not excuse for not getting everything for free.
Make a friend in your architecture/design/engineering departments and use a lazer cutter to make some awesome cutouts and shapes that you saw on some of these cards.
Buy a ream of corse grain paper (whatever its called) or some card stock and send them though a printer and then use a paper cutter (every school has thousands laying around somewhere) and slice up your cards.
If it costs you more than $10 to make the cards for everyone in your group than you messed up. It will take some time though. HAVE FUN BTW!

    @ BITT!
IM SO MOTIVATED NOW BITT! im asking my parents if they want some new business cards. ;)

  6. There is couple more at http://faveup.com/

  10. do you know a company that produces cards like these?

  11. if you look around you can find some decent ones(at least they do here in Japan) that can be done on a home printer. i have some very durable clear plastic ones that i print. People really remember them and because it is unique it is difficult to throw away. the only problem with black text/logo on clear plastic is if someone puts it down on a newspaper it sorta disappears…..

  12. Dr. Girlfriend

Some of those cards make me feel a little Patrick Bateman.

  13. great ideas!!!
    thx for that info

  14. anyone know what that term in printing is called? for the beveled raised type? any further info on how i can go and where i can get this done for a good price?

  15. I just had business cards done yesterday! i wish i would’ve seen this before. btw, i found your link on graphic-design-links.

  16. If you want plastic cards, look for a company that specializes in Gift Card printing like Gorilla Gift Cards. It’s like a credit card, but you can get different thickness, clear cards, and die cuts. Pretty sweet!

  17. What would make for an even better list, though this is top notch, would be places to have these type of cards printed. Though I am reticent to down on Office Max (snark), this is some serious quality print work

  18. so will anyone please let us know where these type of cards can be purchased?

  19. i also would like to know who does specialty stuff like this….bitt-you need to do a write up on these places and what they offer…..alot of people are not familiear with the print side of things…..to me what makes these cards is not the design but the features of the card…..material, thickness, cutouts, foil stamping, letter pressing ect.

SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET WORDS PUNCHED OUT…ECT…

    thanks.

  20. Sweet! I was just about to design business-cards. These are a great inspiration!

    Thnx Bitt~

  44. a lot of rounded corners eh?

  45. Good creative..

  46. There is nothing better than fantastic design. i love inspiration.

dsinc- yes, rounded corners seem to be the “in” thing.. We do that for so many of our clients, and lately we are doing 1, 2 or 3 rounded corners only..also, alot of customers lately have been ordering our frosted thin plastic for business cards. it micas at 16pt, but it really only feels like a 10pt.

i think i love the metal embossed cards the best!
