I knew about dragging to reset the zero point to the upper left, like I want it to be, but didn’t know about double clicking to get the zero on the top. Why isn’t there a preference, or a script or something that will always keep the zero points top left for me! :-)

I always drag the point from the corner as I like my 0’s at top and left. Is there anyway to make the double click default to 0’s at top left instead of bottom and left?

I’m one of those people who sometimes posts a comment such as “seriously, you didn’t know that? That’s been there for years.” Every time I do that, which isn’t very often by the way, I kick myself. I forget that not everyone has been using Adobe Photoshop since before Adobe owned it, or Quark XPress since before the company was called Quark.

Tips like these need to be more frequent. There are tons of new users out there, and simple tips like this can make the level of frustration with those users a LOT lower when learning an app. They can also remind us old-timers about some tricks we’ve long since forgotten!

I’ve been using Illustrator and Photoshop for years, and I did know these tips. However, there have been several others that were helpful. There are so many of these commands and shortcuts that it’s unlikely anyone will learn them all until someone else points them out.
