I think “Ctrl + Enter” is better cos’ sometime when using “Escape” it will exit your program unexpectedly!

Easiest for me is to hold “Crtl” while click outside of the text box. Couple others also seem to like that shortcut.

Another thing that most people don’t know about is, in PS, holding SHIFT and whilst still having the text option selected, clicking somewhere else. Starts a new text box. More useful than you’d think.

I am a new student and pretty new to computers and illustrator. This is something they did not teach in illustrator class. I wasn’t looking for this info. I just sort of stumbled over it. I am so glad I did. I was about to take a hammer to my keyboard. Thanks!

this is very common tool to ‘escape’ from text command.. i thought most of illustrator user must know since the beginning of learning illustrator..
anyway you should make the explanation simple & straight forward not need to drag people to read it all.. ;)
