  1. nice I just checked like 5 min ago and no update then when I went back to my browser (your my homepage) I saw the new vectors. I had been meaning to make some like this. They look really good.

  2. beautiful!

  3. Nice! Thankyou.
They must have taken some time!

  4. I echo Cameron. Looks like a lot of time went into these. Thanks!

  5. nice work, i’ve been using a few tree vectors i got from - http://www.neubauwelt.com/ - but these ones of yours are nice. i haven’t tried making my own with trees yet, like the other guy said, pretty time consuming stuff.

  6. I love trees. Thanks so much.

  7. Bitt-

how do I add the download button to my blog?

  8. very nice, much appreciated

  9. Great stuff… as always!

  10. Clean and green! Thanks.

  11. @Huey

I’m not 100% sure what you mean by that but you may not host my files on your own blog in order to give them away. You must link to this page if you want your readers to download my files.

  12. wonderful! i just needed them for my architecture exam!!!

  13. Sorry maybe I should have explained myself clearer. How do I place a download button (html) on my site so that If I had my own Free vectors or brushes People could download them. My intention was never to steal your vectors only to know how to place a download button on my site. Again Sorry for the miscommunication.

  14. @huey

You use an image as the background for the anchor tag (the link) and the url is the zip file itself. The browsers do the rest because your are linking to a zip file.

Hope that helps, if not you can email me.

    ~BItt

  15. These could definately come in handy. much thanks!

  16. I’ve always had trouble (or maybe just ran out of patience) to do vector trees. Thank you. =)

  17. I download the tree vector, but when I tried to open illustrator and use them (I have CS3 it said could not recognize the files) could you tell me how to download properly and use.

    thanks

  18. thanks

  20. Thanks for the three trees! Bittbox are you spanish?

  21. Thanks! Can’t wait to play with them.

  22. Great vectors - any chance you could make a tutorial on how to go from a photo to this vector? It’s all about selection and levels I suppose (I am guessing you wouldn’t Pen trace these)…but I’ve yet to see a good tutorial on this…

  23. nice, thanks.

  24. thank you very much, those are really great!

  25. Very nice collection, I’ll probably be using these on a little project later on today.

  26. Shoot a photo of a tree branch against a clear or overcast sky > using levels in photoshop pull in the left and right handles to make it almost black and white > then bam, live trace it in illlustrator

    Is that right Bittbox?

  27. oh and probably need to desaturate it first before using levels.

  28. hfng has got it.
Use curves (or levels) to make your silhouette (and use the channel with the best contrast to do so), and fill in any interior highlights with a black brush. At this point you have an excellent silhouette, from which you can make an alpha channel or autotraced vector in Illy. The alpha channel is great for masking hair, BTW.

  29. Thanks for the tips hfng and Paige - can’t wait to try them out!

  30. Awesome job! These are definitely going in the archives.
    Keep ‘em coming!!

  31. it’s not impossible, but what about with a little help of Sillhouette tool or some stuff like that?

  32. these are sweet!
could you make some free bird vectors?
that would be a great freebie

  33. Awesome, though i fear these will be used in yet more silhouette/nature/gradient pieces that will flood the vector/scenes section of DA.

The guy who basically started that particular style in 2002 ‘Silveryn’ should have patented it,he’d be loaded by now considering how much it’s been copied, his ‘Change of Seasons’ piece inparticular!

Still, cool brushes, here’s hoping people use them for something new and different.

  34. These are amazing! Didn’t really think i’d be able to do much with tree vectors but, i might actually start trying to recreate stuff like this just for inspirations sake… NICE ONE Bitt.
