Free Vector Buttons and Icons - Metal and Glass

This is a free set of vector icons designed by BittBox for you to use in your webpage or blog (or anything else including commercial apps). The files are in AI, EPS, and SVG format, so they can be scaled to any size without having to worry about pixelation.

Customizing tip: In Illustrator’s preferences > general section, make sure “Scale Strokes and Effects” is active.

Includes: - AI (1) EPS (1) SVG (1) PNG (1)

Requested: Illustrator 9 version (I have no way to test this).

   I LOVE BITBOX!! I?m from Madrid(spain-CEE) and i used to go to webs like the ones in: http://www.bluevertigo.com.ar/bluevertigo.htm something or these are nice, but bitbox is like no-one, i mean… if you one day want to ask 4 1$ or 1sms or anything for one of these designs it would be ok cause your designs are really cool and this web is really cool and you are one/or more people really generous for giving your nice work for free.

   hey man that is a nice work done up there.
   it is really nice. hey can we do one thing. i have a blog of tutorials on web design and grpahic design. can we both do some link exchange. this way visitors from my blog will come to yours and yours will come to mine. this was we both will be benifited and that can increase our page rank.

   my blog gets crawled almost after every 4 days.

   Would it be possible to include a version for those of us that are still using older versions of Illustrator? I can’t get any of the included versions to open in Illustrator 9.

   Quick comment on the PNG version…I opened it up in Fireworks and the image is a flattened bitmap. Could you please take a look at that?

   Outstanding work…these look really sharp!

    Hi there!
    The materials on here are just fantastic.
    I recently downloaded the 72 vector glass buttons.
    I’m using Fireworks 8 and I have the same issue
    as others here, in that the image is only a flattened
    bitmap.

    I have tried converting from EPS, SVG etc but without
    success.
    The SVG files load into inkscape but lose the glossy
    shine on them, so that is no go. Would love to have
    even just a few of those in PNG format which I can
    manipulate in fireworks. I’d be most grateful
    for any advice or suggestions you have.

    It must be flattening the image AS you open it in Fireworks. Try opening the vector in Illustrator, then drag it over into a fireworks document. Not sure if it’ll work, but cant hurt to give it a try.
