This is one of the most overused typefaces I have seen in a long time. It’s a great looking typeface, but it only works for certain projects. Some one described it very well when they called it a perfect blend of western and grunge. I don’t know why the hell the typeface gets used so much, and almost every time, used incorrectly. I mean seriously, an insurance TV ad?? I see it almost everywhere I go. I’ve seen it on place mats at diners, where local businesses post business cards. My wife was watching that show called Best Dance Crew or something like that, and I noticed that one of the teams banners used this typeface for their logo. I saw both a bike shop, and a tattoo parlor, use this typeface for their store logos. In the same area mind you. I’ve seen it in magazine ads, too. It’s ridiculous. Almost every one of ads I saw that used this typeface, looked like they were done by an amateur designer. Something I can picture a high school, or early college student doing. Not to mention you can tell they used “Photoshop” for the entire design, which is horrible for text. I refuse to use this typeface just for the fact that it has been over-killed by wanna-be amateurs who think they are designers because they ripped a copy of Photoshop off LimeWire, and downloaded a million free fonts.

Most over used font I have seen in a long time. I’ve seen it in commercials, Lone Star restaurant menus, 20 million bands use it, just saw it for a festival Live Stock. I have joked about making a photo gallery of all the places I see this font. It’s a great font but unfortunately everyone thinks so too. If only the creator was getting money for it’s extensive use, he’d be rich.

Haha, I,ve seen the Mars one too.
And in Neustiftgasse, there´s a Nail and Hair-Salon using it for their logo (Black on Pink). So misplaced!

All of you trying to use this font in a Microsoft program and it’s not fitting; here’s the solution. You need to change the line spacing. Experiment a little and you’ll figure it out.

I loved this font at first but it is being used by everyone now. I can’t go more than a week without seeing it on a flier or poster somewhere. I guess that just show how awesome it is, but it kind of sucks when you design something and then everywhere you go someone else is using it; kind of like Scriptina.
