Here we will walk through how you can align to “key objects” in Adobe Illustrator.
- Open Align Palette
- Click and drag to select both objects
- Click once on the object you want to align to. You’ll notice the object will be a darker blue, which is Illustrator’s way of telling you that is your “key object”
- Now go back to your Align Palette, be sure “Align to key object” is selected in your “Align to” option.
- Simply select the type of alignment you’d like
