These 5 hi-res fur and feather textures come from scanning the materials used for creating fly fishing lures. Scanning these at high resolution really brings out some unique detail and surface quality that can’t be seen otherwise.

These 5 brushes were made by dipping a Q-Tip in red food coloring then simply “drawing” on a piece of paper with it. If you enjoy these, check out the Red Drops and Streaks texture pack on Valleys In The Vinyl. It was one of the first texture packs I released on the site, and I always thought some of those textures would translate well into brushes. Each brush is 2500px wide. Enjoy!
