This week I’ve got a treat for 3 lucky Windows users. My friends at Electric Rain have just released a new Swift3D plugin for Photoshop CS4 Extended, and to spread the word, I’ve got 3 copies to give away! It’s WINDOWS ONLY, (sorry Mac users) so please only comment if you have a Windows machine. If you aren’t familiar with Swift3D, its a 3D modeling and animation software. A couple of weeks ago Gene requested that I do some liquid textures, and seeing as this is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time… I decided to try my hand at it. The other day I was thinking about how there needs to be more “colorful” textures out there, so I’m pretty happy with the way these turned out. I created them by mixing drops of various food colorings with a little water, and voila! Enjoy!

To kick off the week, I’ve got some hi-res Photoshop brushes for everyone. I call them abstract splatter. There are 10 brushes in the set, and they’re all 2500px. I don’t think these will be something most people would use very often, but you can’t have too many brushes, right? I’ve got CS1, CS3, and PNG’s available for non-Photoshoppers.

Thanks to everyone who gave me texture ideas on last weeks post, I appreciate it! Today I’m fulfilling one of those requests: leather textures. Just last week I found myself searching for a good leather texture for a project of mine and I realized how hard they are to find on the internet. Hopefully you guys get some good use out of them!
