How to Sync Photoshop Presets on Multiple Computers

If you have multiple computers, and you use both of them quite frequently (like myself), then you understand that syncing 2 computers is a never-ending battle. Syncing files is hard enough, but I want to share a workflow tip with everyone that will make your lives easier when switching back-and-forth between machines. I want to show you how to sync all your Photoshop Presets (Brushes, Actions, etc.) on multiple computers. This will speed up your design workflow, and increase productivity. For example, you download and install a new set of brushes in Photoshop on your laptop, then you get home, and the new brushes have already been downloaded and installed on your desktop. (Note: you can do this for Illustrator, InDesign, etc. I’m just using PS as an example.)

Free Texture Tuesday: Skin

I’ve had many requests for skin textures in the last couple of months, so it’s about time I release a set ;) Rachelmhahn commented last week that there are *too* many grunge textures out there, which is probably true. So, I have some pretty cool non-grungy texture packs coming your way in the next few weeks, including bubbles, burned paper, book covers, and metals.

BB Freebies in the Wild and iPhone App Giveaway

While this isn’t a typical BittBox post, I think It’s alright to lighten the mood every once in a while. I was recently contacted by iPhone developers Brendan McWeeney and Gianguido Giudetti about a new app that’s just been released to the world, and it utilizes some good ol’ BittBox Photoshop brushes for added effect. The app is called Fartlicious, and I’m sure I don’t need to explain to you what it does, but let’s just say that the BB brush set it uses are my Hi-Res Splatter brushes. I’ll leave it at that :) Anyway, as a way to say thanks, they’ve given me 3 codes to get the app for free.

Free Texture Tuesday: Nebulae Grunge

I noticed the other day that I have yet to do a set of my famous “nebulae grunge” textures here on Texture Tuesday. I made a website several months ago showcasing 10 texture similar to those below called NebulaeGrunge.com. The textures were used in a cool tutorial over at Web Design Ledger if you want to check it out. Hope you like ‘em! Next week I’ll start getting to some of those requests.
